I have read the applications, and I have been the application.

I am Donald "Donny" Schiller Jr. I build JobPilot out of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Most resume services are sold by career coaches. I am not one. My background is logistics and aviation operations, and I came at this from two directions that turn out to matter more than a coaching certificate.

The hiring side

From August 2017 to February 2019 I was a Driver Recruiter at Surge Transportation in Rockwall, Texas. That meant posting openings across hiring sites, group pages and staffing agencies, building the ad campaigns that went with them, working the follow-up calls and emails, verifying employment history, and running new hire orientation once someone made it through. I sat on the Driver Advocate team.

That is eighteen months of reading applications instead of sending them, and I want to be precise about what it was and was not. It was commercial driver recruiting, not corporate white-collar recruiting, and it ended in 2019. What it taught me is the part that has not changed: almost nobody is rejected because they are unqualified. They are rejected because the person reading cannot find the qualification in the ninety seconds they are giving it — or because a piece of software never surfaced it at all.

Before that, running events for Universal Event Photography, I hired and trained temporary crews for each event. Later, as Regional Logistics Manager at Excell Communications in Dallas, I ran a team of sixteen to twenty across seven warehouses. Different kind of hiring-side seat, same lesson about how quickly people get sorted.

The applicant side

Eleven roles. Solderer, yard driver, dispatcher, welder, logistics manager, researcher, facilities tech, and now a CDL Airside Experience Specialist at Signature Aviation, working private aviation ground operations at Honolulu International. I moved from Florida to Texas to Hawaii. I changed industries more than once.

That is a lot of applications, and a lot of silence. Career changers get hit hardest by automated screening, because the systems are matching literal phrases and a career change is precisely the case where your words and the posting's words drift apart. I did not need to read a study about that. I lived it.

The parser

In February 2026 I registered Atlas Holdings Group in Hawaii and started building automation software full time. JobPilot's checker is mine — I wrote the keyword extraction, the parser simulation and the scoring. It is not a wrapper around someone else's API. That is also why the scan is free and always will be: it runs in your browser, so it costs me nothing to serve, and I would rather earn your business on the report than charge you for the diagnosis.

I hold a Bachelor's in Business Marketing from Full Sail University and a Class A CDL. The second one is more relevant to this work than it sounds — a large share of the people this tool helps are in trades, logistics and operations, and those resumes get graded by the same machines as everyone else's with a fraction of the attention paid to them.

What I will not do. I will not put a job, a title, a date, a certification or a metric on your resume that you did not earn. Not one. You are the person who has to sit in the interview and back up every line on the page. A resume that quietly gains a credential is worse than no help at all — and I say that as someone who used to be the one verifying employment history.
